The Oakes, Hattiesburg – August 25th and 26th the Southern States Soccer girls traveled to Montgomery, Alabama, to compete in the Alabama Soccer Shootout.  They met up with CSC Girls 05/04 Premier on Saturday morning and battled fiercely after both teams had exchanged early goals. Finally the Southern States Soccer girls scored the deciding goal with less than 5 minutes on the clock.  The ladies carried this momentum forward going up against RCUSC Raptors 03 later in the afternoon. The girls ran away 5-1 winners.  When the ladies arrived on Sunday morning you could see the look of determination in their eyes.  Up against the Dothan Shockers FC 03/04 for the semi-final game they defeated them 4-1, advancing to the championship game.  Matched against the Auburn Thunder 04 in the championship game and after giving it their all, they had to settle for the silver medal.  This group of ladies continues to improve and move forward under the guidance of head coach Jade Reynolds.
